Welcome to the website of the research group "Collaboration Systems and CSCW" at Clausthal University of Technology. We are one of two research groups within the Business Information Technology Unit at the Department of Informatics.

The group was founded in February 2007. Our main field of interest is the design of digital media and technologies to support human co-operation, communication, and social interaction. We investigate collaborative systems from a variety of perspectives, including their conceptual design, software architectures, user interfaces, and (last not least) usage by humans in their work, learning or leisure context. In our research, we adopt an interdisciplinary approach which in rooted in Computer Science and Information Technology, but also includes methods from Cognitive and Social Sciences. In addition to the "Introduction to Computer Science and Programming" course we regularly offer for 1st semester students in the Business Administration program, we also offer some classes for Diploma and MSc students in Computer Science and Business Information Systems.
